Profile

        Prof. Spicher is an expert and a scholar in every aspect of logistics. He was a professor at University, a top manager in Unilever, a founder of enterprises, and he finally came back to the University doing research for more than 10 years, he focused on making the perfect combination of theory and practice, and on transferring his research results to people. Prof. Spicher was a co-founder of German Logistics Association founded in 1978. After his retirement in 2006 he was hired as senior logistics consultant by the European Union with special allowance. Being the leader of several projects in developing countries prof. Spicher has made great contributions to the development of those countries. As EU-Expert he gave also lectures at the Universities in Changchun, Wuhan. Since 2007 he acted as adviser of logistics and supply chain for the Chinese government (e.g. Guangzhou city), research institutions and well-known companies (such as Huawei, China Tobacco) and helped with the improvement of logistics research and application in China.
